Under Construction
New video essays will be integrated with blog posts as I produce them. Some video essays will be related to Mills Folly Microcinema, MMoCa Cinema, or Duck Soup Cinema programs. Others will be related to screenings around town, including at the UW-Cinematheque. Others still will be made on a whim, based on where my current interests carry me.
This will probably be the slowest developing section on the website. But here’s an early attempt to do something like what I plan to do in future video essays. It is a short preview of Erik Charell’s Caravan (1934) produced during the Madison Film Forum days for a UW-Cinematheque screening in 2015.
